The word ‘jali” refers to net. The outer texture of this Old Dhaka special kabab has that net effect by using a special technique. Simple but needs perfection!!

How Do you Make it?

Ingredients:

Chicken 2 pounds (910 gm), minced
Onion 3 tbsp, chopped
Coriander + Green chili paste 1 tbsp
Green chili 2-3 pcs, chopped
Mint 3 tbsp, chopped
Coriander 3 tbsp, chopped
Garlic paste 1 tbsp
Ginger paste 1.5 tbsp
Garam Masala 1 tbsp
Roasted Cumin ½ tsp
Mace ¼ tsp
Red chili 1.5 tsp
Lime juice ½ tsp
Plain / Natural yogurt 1 tbsp
Egg 1
Fried onions 4 tbsp
Bread crumbs ½ cup
BBQ sauce 1 tbsp
Soy sauce 1.5 tsp
Ketchup 1.5 tbsp
Salt ½ tsp
Bread 4 pcs, soaked and drained.

Procedure:

1. In a large bowl, add all the kabab ingredients and mix well.
2. Add soaked and drained pieces of bread to the mix and marinate for 30 min
3. Using hands make round flat kabab, coat them with bread crumbs
5. Dip kabab into the beaten egg, and then drop into the hot oil. Using fingers Sprinkle some egg over the kabab that makes jali. Cook them into medium flame.
6. Enjoy!.
